Jayson Wynters Came across this record via my friend... and its probably the greatest find of 2019. Lucia Pt 1 is pure bliss and sounds like something from a movie scene. Incredible mixture of sounds and varied styles in one album. It seems like Ian has been slept on. Cant wait to have his music as part of my musical arsenal to share with the rest of the world.

Joe Alaspa Complete musical bliss. Smart composition with diverse musical ground covered with a crystal clear production that never loses its human quality. One of the only albums thats awed me for a long time. Favorite track: Zed.

Osunlade Classic Album!! Sooo good to see Ian's music here on bandcamp! Not a bad song in his entire catalog. Favorite track: Yemura.

Dr. Beaf From 'Spirits' thick tribal roots to the next track 'The Midwestern Night's Dream' being completely lounge orientated one would say this album is vast and varied. Look out for that warm liquidy organ in Zed. It's really, really good. Favorite track: Zed.

Ray Smith This album is a fantastic blending of my two favorite genres of music, jazz and electronic. No one does this better than Ian O'Brien. Phenomenal work. Favorite track: A Midwestern Night's Dream.

This was my third album, at a time when I was moving further into live percussion and un-sequenced synths, further into merging techno with jazz and was heavily influenced by time spent in Rio De Janeiro. Originally released in 2001 but mostly recorded in the late 90's. Also featured my first use of a software synthesizer (the idea of a 'software synth' was totally new back then, and they bore little resemblance to the sophisticated software instruments of the 21st century.) Remastered from the original eight-track reels, now available on Bandcamp :)
